Stray dogs foil loot attempt in Odisha capital

Bhubaneswar: Some stray dogs have foiled a loot attempt in Odisha capital. The highly unusual incident took place at Baramunda Housing Board Colony in the city yesterday night.

According to reports, two bike-borne miscreants arrived in the colony around 2 am while one of them went near a boundary wall of a house with an intention of loot. In the meantime, 10-15 stray dogs attacked and injured the duo.

Before fleeing the spot, the two left a toy gun on the road. It is being suspected that they had brought the toy gun with them to threaten people during loot. The entire incident was captured on CCTV cameras.

Residents of the locality spotted bloodstain on a small portion of the road and the toy gun near it, next morning. On being informed, Khandagiri police reached the place and initiated investigation. The CCTV footage was being used to identify the wrongdoers.
