Students boycott final year exam at Madhusudan Law University

Cuttack: Tension prevailed at Madhusudan Law University here today after the final year students of 5-year LLB staged protest demanding suspension of their examination, citing detection of COVID-19 positive cases.

While the examination on Labour Law paper was scheduled to be held today, all students boycotted the test and resorted to a protest. They demanded that the examination be held at a different place or through online mode.

Sources said few examination invigilators had contracted the virus few days back while reports of three more teachers came out positive yesterday. However, the university authorities could not be reached to comment on the matter.

“Three teachers have tested positive for the virus. There is no proof of sanitisation being carried out in the campus. How can we put our life at risk by attending the exams here,” said a protesting female student.
