Rayagada: As many as 35 students of a residential school in Odisha’s Rayagada district left hostel today alleging inconvenience due to lack of toilet.
The hostel boarders of Bileshu High School in the district covered a distance of 25 km to meet the Collector over their grievances. The students also demanded appointment of a computer teacher in the school, a post which has been falling vacant since long, as alleged by the students.
District Welfare Officer and PA, ITDA reached the Collector’s office and tried to persuade the students to return to their hostel. The officials gave an assurance of addressing the issues within 24 hours.
