Internationally acclaimed sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik today paid sandy tribute to the victims of Mumbai terror attack in which 166 people were killed eight years ago.
Patnaik sculpted the sand art on the beaches of the pilgrim town this morning.
“#MumbaiAttacks Saluting the Braveheart soldiers, policemen and remembering the people who lost their lives 26/11: one of my Sand Art,” Pattnaik tweeted.
Besides, he also created a sand art on the occasion of Constitution Day today with message 'Pledge for a Corruption-Free India' at Puri beach.
On the other hand, the official commemoration was held at Police Gymkhana in Mumbai where Maharashtra Governor CV Rao laid a wreath to pay homage to all those who lost their lives in the terror attacks. Apart from Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Director-General of Police Satish Mathur, Mumbai Police Commissioner Datta Padsalgikar, the widows, orphans and other family members of the victims were also present on the occasion.
