Summer vacation: Odisha declares closure of schools from April 18

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Government has declared summer vacation for schools and educational institutions in the state from April 18, informed Special Relief Commissioner Bishnupada Sethi today.

A decision in this regard was taken keeping in view the heatwave conditions across Odisha, the official said.

As many as 12 places in the state had yesterday recorded maximum temperature of above 40 degree Celsius. The Regional Meteorological Centre has predicted that there will be no major change in day temperature across the state during the next two days.
