Sundargarh SDC Chairperson Kusum Tete resigns. Here’s why

Sundargarh: Sundargarh Special Development Council (SDC) Chairperson Kusum Tete today resigned from the post ahead of 2019 elections.

She tendered her resignation to Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik citing ‘personal reason’.

If the media reports could be believed, Kusum resigned from the post with a hope to get a ticket from the Biju Janata Dal (BJD) for the upcoming elections.

Worth mentioning, Kusum Tete had contested the 2014 Assembly polls on BJD ticket from Sundergarh constituency. She was defeated by Congress candidate Jogesh Singh, who has recently joined the BJD, with a margin of 12,584 votes.
