Sunil Kumar Mishra today took the oath of office as the Chief Information Commissioner (CIC) of Odisha.

Mishra was administered the oath of office by Governor S C Jamir at the Raj Bhawan here.

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, Minister Information & Public Relations Bikram Keshari Arukh, Chief Secretary Aditya Prasad Padhi, State Information Commissioners L N Patnaik and Sashiprava Bindhani were present among others at the special function organized at the Raj Bhawan.

Mishra, a retired bureaucrat was on October 19 appointed as the CIC following approval of his appointment by Jamir.
