Retired bureaucrat Sunil Kumar Mishra was today appointed as the Chief Information Commissioner (CIC) of Odisha following approval of his appointment by Governor Dr. S C Jamir, said an official release.

The Selection Committee meeting chaired by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Thursday last had recommended Mishra’s name to the Governor for appointment as the CIC, the release added.
