The elder of the Dhalasamant brothers said so before the judge while being produced in the Cuttack Sub Divisional Judicial Magistrate (SDJM) court today, said his lawyer.

“Today, he complained that the jail authorities are mentally torturing him by keeping him in a locked cell acting on the orders of the Commissionerate police. The court has asked him to file a written complaint in this context,” said his lawyer Souribandhu Mohapatra.

“One needs to have a free surrounding to have a healthy life. He should be allowed a free atmosphere since he has not been proven guilty,” he added.

Notably, Sushant was produced in the court today in seven cases. He will be produced before the court again on May 27.

His younger brother Sushil, who has been stationed in Balasore jail, was also produced before the court via video conferencing.
