Suspecting fidelity, man murders wife in Odisha’s Nabarangpur

Nabarangpur: In a shocking incident, a man allegedly murdered his wife suspecting her fidelity in Umerkote area of Odisha’s Nabarangpur district today.

According to reports, Biplab Mandal (26) and his wife Chumki (21) were returning to their residence at Badakumari from his in-laws’ house at Murtama village on a motorcycle. In the meantime, a heated exchange of words erupted between the two as he questioned her fidelity.

The matter took a violent turn as he lost his cool and crushed his wife to death with a stone. The accused later surrendered at the Umerkote police station.

Cops have recovered the body for post-mortem and initiated an investigation.
