Bhubaneswar: Breaking the monotony of stereotypical romantic love stories, Odia movie ‘Adrushyam’ notched a different genre for itself. The movie that premiered in a city-based multi-screen theatre here on Friday, received an overwhelming response from the viewers.
Many celebrities from the Ollywood turned up for the premiere to encourage the star-cast of the latest release.
The romantic thriller not only portrayed different shades of emotions but unraveled secrets layer by layer with the development of plots.
While Sanu and Ankita’s characters redefined the concepts of friendship and love, Lipsa Mishra aced in her ravishingly beautiful yet deceitful character. Samaresh Routray’s cameo and Chittranjan Tripathy’s comic timing tickled the funny bones of the movie enthusiasts.
Sanu who plays the protagonist loses his eyesight due to illness. Later, he regained his eyesight after surgery. In the meantime, he falls in love with a girl and the suspense thriller unfolds.
A big shout out to music director Biswaswarup for setting up a cryptic and intense tone, in sync with the movie’s central theme. The cinematography by Amaresh Jena and Satyam Sivam Sundaram was also commendable.
‘Adrushyam’ is a Rajendra Mohanta directorial that has been produced under the joint venture of Samaresh Routray, Sambeet Acharya and Durga Kinkar Dash. It has some soulful music tracks by Humane Sagar, Asima Panda, Sashank Shekhar, Diptirekha, Ustaad Raja Saheb and Soumendra. Credits for editing goes to Manas Kumar Sahoo. Kumarshree Sahoo, Satya Ranjan Bal, Ustaad and Anurag have done some amazing work in the department of lyrics.
