Suspension on Md Moquim, Chiranjib to be lifted soon, hints Odisha Cong in-charge

Bhubaneswar: Senior Congress leaders Mohammed Moquim and Chiranjib Biswal today met the party in-charge for Odisha Ajoy Kumar here. The two leaders previously suspended around six months ago will likely make a comeback soon, Ajoy Kumar hinted while speaking to mediapersons.

“We had a nice meeting. Be it misunderstanding or any other reason, but apparently, Congress is very much there in their DNA. Whatever misunderstandings are there from both sides are quite obvious. We should see both Moquim Bhai and Chiranjib Ji as members of one family. They are strong leaders and belong to the party’s organisation. It is obligatory on all of us that we should try to clear the existing misunderstandings,” Ajoy Kumar expressed.

“We discussed how to strengthen the party organisation. I don’t want to disclose all that at this point of time. Just wait till he (Ajoy Kumar) would reveal it all himself to the press. I was and am working for the party. Mohammed Moquim and Congress cannot be separate,” the Barabati-Cuttack MLA said.

The two Congress leaders discussed party affairs in Odisha with in-charge Ajoy Kumar for quite a long time. Moquim and Biswal were suspended on July 15, 2023, over the charge of anti-party activities.
