Swabhiman Anchal of Odisha’s Malkangiri gets mobile network connectivity

Malkangiri: Fulfilling the demands of the residents of ‘Swabhiman Anchal’, the Malkangiri district administration today started mobile network connectivity in the area. As per a statement issued by Malkangiri District Collector Manish Agarwal, trial run of the mobile network was completed successfully in Pipalapadar, Hantalguda and Jantapai villages of ‘Swabhiman Anchal’.

A total of seven towers have been planned at Pipalapadar, Hantalguda, Jantapai, Tunnel camp, Dyke-III, Darlabeda and Chitrakonda by Bharati Infratel Ltd, the statement added.

“Now people of these villages will get voice call and 4G Network and will get connected with the rest of the world through active mobile network. With this connectivity all surrounding villages will also get network and mobile connectivity,” it read.

The Collector further informed these routes and villages were not having mobile connectivity from the very beginning. “Telecom connectivity was a continuous demand from this area and is fulfilled today,” the statement mentioned.

He also congratulated BSF, Malkangiri Police, forest Department and local administration for their support in setting up the mobile towers.

The Collector urged LWE cadres to shun violence and be a part of the development process and get into mainstream.

These towers will be dedicated to the public shortly, he informed.
