SWAYAM art workshop being held in Odisha Capital

Bhubaneswar: SWAYAM – a live painting workshop for artists with disability, is an effort to promote talented upcoming artists with disabilities. SWAYAM Edition 2 is being held in partnership of DN Regalia, IPCA and Swabhiman. Of the 22 artists who submitted their works, 16 were selected in the first round and final 13 in the final round.

These artists are being mentored by senior and veteran artists of Odisha over three days from 11th to 13th February 2020 at a workshop in DN Regalia Mall in Patrapada. The artists belong to various districts from Odisha and were chosen by a selection committee for participation in this workshop. The workshop was inaugurated by DN Group Chairman, Jagadish Prasad Naik, Founder Trustee Ila Panda Centre for Arts (IPCA), Paramita Panda, and Chief Executive of Swabhiman, Sruti Mohapatra.

The artists will be mentored by a galaxy of eminent contemporary artists of Odisha including Ramahari Jena, Jyoti Ranjan Swain, Satya Bhushan Hota, Ramakant Samantray and Prithviraj Singhdeo.

The art workshop is being curated by eminent contemporary artist Veejayant Dash.
