Tahasildar tests positive for COVID-19 in Odisha

Bhadrak: The Basudevpur Tahasil office has been shut for 48 hours from 5 pm today. An official said the decision was taken after Basudevpur Tahasildar Somyashree Panigrahi tested positive for deadly COVID-19.

During the shutdown the administration will carry out sanitization and other related activities at the Tahasil office, the official added.

The administration also requested the people who came in contact with the Basudevpur Tahasildar in recent past to get themselves tested and stay indoors.

Earlier, Basudevpur block office was shut for sanitization after Block Development Officer Pranab Kumar Behera contracted the virus.
