Tahsildar tests positive for COVID-19 in this Odisha district

Rayagada: Samples of Tahsildar of Kolnara block in Rayagada district have been tested positive for deadly COVID-19. This was informed by Rayagada District Collector Pramod Kumar Behera today. Also, an employee of the Tahsil office tested positive.

This apart, the District Collector ordered the Tahsil office to remain closed for seven days. During the closure period, the administration will take steps to sanitise the entire office.

The administration also asked citizens not to visit the Tahsil office during the next seven days.
Today samples of nine corona warriors in the district tested positive as well.

Till yet, 242 persons in the district contracted the virus. The number of active cases stands at 102.
