Talcher fertiliser plant likely to be commissioned by September 2024

Bhubaneswar: The fertiliser plant of the Talcher Fertilizers Limited (TFL) is likely to be commissioned by September 2024, informed Mansukh Mandaviya, Union Minister for Chemicals and Fertilizers.

Replying to a question of BJD MP Sasmit Patra in the Rajya Sabha yesterday, Mandaviya said the plant was scheduled to be commissioned by September 2023. However, it was delayed by a year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

More than 20 per cent work of the plant has been completed by February this year, the Union Minister said.

All activities of the project were stopped during the nationwide lockdown due to the COVID-19 situation in 2020. The work resumed after the first wave of COVID-19 in the country.

However, the project work was again hampered during the second wave of COVID-19.
