Tata Steel has provided air tickets and sports kit to young sprinter Amiya Mallick, who will leave for Jamaica in West Indies to undergo a four-month training under Glen Mills, coach of legendary sprinter Usain Bolt at the Racers Track Club, starting from January 14.
At a function here on Thursday, Deputy Vice President ( Operations), Kalinganagar Project, Tata Steel handed over the air tickets, an imported sports kit with latest sporting gears to the 21-year-old sprinter.
Mallick, who won the men’s 200-metre race in National Open Athletics Championships at Ranchi in September last year, said he will give his best to the training as he aims for 2014 Commonwealth and Asian Games.
