Teacher arrested in Odisha capital for molesting student

Commissionerate police on Friday arrested a 32-year-old English teacher of a private engineering college located in Odisha capital for allegedly molesting a female student.

Khandagiri police arrested NM Institute of Engineering and Technology’s English teacher Nafish Anwar of Kishanganj in Bihar for allegedly molesting a student of the college.

According to the complainant, Anwar called her on September 24 evening to give her some tips on communication skills, but while teaching he started touching her inappropriately.

The police said a case has been registered against Anwar, who was produced in a local court here later in the day.
