Teacher suspended for campaigning for candidate in Odisha panchayat polls

A school teacher was suspended in Odisha's Ganjam district for campaigning for a candidate contesting in the upcoming panchayat polls.

Taking action on the basis of allegation reported, Ganjam Collector, who is also the district election officer, suspended B Rajendra for campaigning for one of his village persons, who is contesting in the rural polls.

Rajendra, a teacher of BK High School in Baulajholi under Kukudakhandi block, was allegedly campaigning without permission from authority.
