Bhubaneswar: India is observing Teachers’ Day to mark the birth anniversary of country’s second President Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan today.
President Ram Nath Kovind and Prime Minister Narendra Modi saluted entire teacher community on Radhakrishnan’s birth anniversary, which is observed as Teachers’ Day in the country.
Taking to Twitter, President Kovind wrote, “On Teachers’ Day, I pay homage to Dr S. Radhakrishnan & extend greetings to all our teachers. They infuse the young minds with strong values & inspire them to be curious, to seek knowledge & to dream. Doing this, they contribute immensely towards nation building #PresidentKovind.”
Modi greeted all the teachers on the special occasion while paying tribute to Radhakrishnan.

Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik also acknowledged the role of teachers, who build future of nation.
