Berhampur: A teenage couple allegedly ended their lives by hanging themselves from a tree at Padmapur village under Patapur police limits in Odisha's Ganjam district.

The locals found the bodies hanging from a tree near a poultry farm in the morning today.

On receiving information, police reached the site and sent the bodies for post mortem.

According to locals, a youth namely Sunil Rout of Padmapur village was in love with a minor girl of the same village. The couple had fled from their houses yesterday.

However, the reason of taking extreme step to end their lives is yet to be clear.
