Teenage girl becomes Uttarakhand CM for one day

Dehradun: The National Girl Child Day of the year 2021 will be remembered in an unique way as 19-year-old girl Srishti Goswami of Haridwar will today take charge as the Chief Minister of Uttarakhand for one day.

She will take part in the child assembly session in Dehradun and administer from Gairsain, the summer capital of the state. The girl will also review various schemes run by the state government.

Goswami, a student of BSc Agriculture and resident of Daulatpur village of Haridwar district, said, “I will do my best to prove that youths can excel in the field of administration.”

She has been the CM of Uttarakhand Bal Vidhan Sabha since 2018. She also took part in the Girls’ International Leadership held in Thailand in 2019.

Her father runs a small shop in the village while her mother is an Anganwadi worker.
