Bhubaneswar, Mar 31

The cloudy weather of Odisha is going to last only two more days. Weather would stabilize for the next few days and temperature will soar again after April 6, the weatherman has said.

Heat Wave Temp

The state will witness nor’wester, rain with thunder and hailstorm at many places during this period.  Cool breeze will be felt across the state during this phase keeping the temperature under control. Some of the coastal areas will experience wind speed touching 70 kilometres per hour along with hailstorm.

Frequent rainfall coupled with north-western flow of air-stream has turned into a deterrent to rising temperature in the state so far; however, the temperature will shoot northwards after April 6, the Regional Meteorological Department of Bhubaneswar has forecast.

The temperature did not cross 39 degrees anywhere in the state yesterday. While the highest temperature was recorded at Talcher at 38.5 degrees, Sonepur was at 38.4, Angul 36.9 and capital Bhubaneswar was at 36.2 degrees.

The minimum temperature throughout the state was also on a steady decline all through last week. While minimum temperature was recorded at Daringbadi and Sundargarh at 17 degrees, the temperature never exceeded 26 degrees anywhere in the state.
