Koraput: A priest of Budhi Thakurani temple in Odisha's Koraput district was found dead at his house, today.

The deceased was identified as Ramesh Chandra Tripathy. He was residing in the house located near the temple.

According to reports, locals initially spotted the body being tied and lying on the floor in a naked state.

This apart, articles in the house were found scattered. Though the reason behind the death was yet to be ascertained, it is being suspected that he was murdered.

Police have recovered the body for post-mortem and started investigation into the incident.

"The condition of the body indicates that the person was killed. A scientific team has been roped in for further examination. Probe is underway," a police official said.
