Temporary relief as mercury plummets across Odisha

Bhubaneswar: With a number of areas clocking the 40 degree Celsius mark in Odisha in the last few days, the temperature dropped today, bringing relief from the scorching weather.

According to the evening bulletin of the Regional Meteorological Department, no stations in the coastal state hovered at 40 degree Celsius temperature today.

While the maximum temperature was found to be 39 degree Celsius in Sundergarh, Daringbadi was recorded to be coolest among the lot at 33 degree Celsius.

The Met Department has predicted that the maximum temperature in Odisha will not see a spike in the next couple of days and may increase by 2-3 degrees thereafter.
