Bhubaneswar: Several districts of Odisha are likely to experience severe heat wave conditions today as the Regional Meteorological Centre here has issued Orange Warning in this regard.
"Heat wave to severe heat wave conditions very likely to prevail at one or two places over the districts of Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Bargarh, Sonepur, Boudh, Bolangir, Kalahandi and Keonjhar," the Meteorological Centre said and issued Orange Warning for these districts.
Heat wave condition likely to prevail at one or two places over the districts of Sundargarh, Kandhamal, Nuapada and Mayurbhanj, it added and issued Yellow Warning for these districts.
It also forecasted that there will be no large change in maximum temperature (day temperature) during the next three days and slight fall thereafter over the districts of Odisha.
Maximum temperature is very likely to be above normal by 4-6 degree Celsius at a few places over the districts of Odisha during the next 3 days, it predicted.
People have been advised to take precautionary measures while going outside during daytime between 11 am and 3 pm.
