Thick blanket of fog likely to cover these Odisha districts for two days

Bhubaneswar: A day after temperature dropped in almost all places across Odisha, a thick blanket of fog may engulf several districts for two days.

As per weather bulletin issued by the IMD today, dense fog is likely to occur in coastal and interior districts of Odisha from tonight till tomorrow morning and from tomorrow night till Monday morning.

While the dense fog is likely to cover the districts — Bhadrak, Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur, Khordha, Puri, Kandhamal, Angul and Cuttack — from January 23 night to January 24 morning, the visibility is likely to be reduced due to fog in the districts — Cuttack, Bhadrak, Jagatsinghpur, Khordha, Kandhamal, Balasore, Angul, Dhenkanal and Kendrapara — on January 24 night and January 25 morning.

The Special Relief Commissioner has issued advisory for police and transport officials of respective districts to take necessary steps for controlled plying of vehicles on highways during dense fog to avoid any road mishap.
