Bhubaneswar: In view of thousands of seats lying vacant in Plus Two courses in Odisha, the authorities decided to conduct third phase admission from September 3 till 6.

As per the notification released by the Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) on Tuesday, the candidates can apply online the Common Application Form (CAF) through www.samsodisha.gov.in between August 23 and 29 for admission in junior colleges.

The last date for submitting the CAF at any SRC along with documents and fees will be by 5.00 pm on August 30.

The merit list of the candidates will be published at 11.00 am on September 3.

The admission will be held between September 3 and 6.

According to notification, the students, who have not taken admission in the Academic session 2018-19, and students, who were enrolled in this academic session but desire to join in their higher choice of institutions opted in their CAF earlier during e-admission process for the year 2018-19, will be eligible to apply online for admission into the courses.

Notably, as many as 96,852 seats are vacant out of total 4,48,747 seats after second phase admission in Plus Two junior colleges in the State.

While 15,059 seats are lying vacant in Pus Two Arts stream, the numbers of vacant seats in Science, Commerce, Sanskrit and Vocational streams are 54,392, 19,868, 2,690 and 4,843 respectively.
