This area in Bhubaneswar sealed for COVID-19 containment

Bhubaneswar: Nuagaon revenue village under the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) area was today sealed and declared as a ‘containment zone’ for COVID-19 containment, official sources said.

The BMC in an order said that as many as ten COVID cases have been detected in the area for which it is necessary to declare the affected area as a ‘containment zone’ and restrict public from entering into and going out of the area.

The area coming within the boundary as mentioned below has been declared as containment zone.

i. From Nuagaon Homeopathic Dispensary to the houses of Laxmidhar Sahu and Bhubanananda Jena.

ii. From the houses of Laxmidhar Sahu and Bhubanananda Jena to the houses of Sudarshan Sahu and Shankar Sahu.

iii. From the houses of Sudarshan Sahu and Shankar Sahu to Nuagaon Homeopathic Dispensary.

No public shall be allowed to move into the containment zone and the inhabitants within the containment zone shall not move out. All the inhabitants within the containment zone shall strictly remain in home. All shopping establishments, government and private institutions located within the boundary of the containment zone have been closed, an order of the BMC said.

The BMC will ensure supply of essentials/medicines in the containment zones. The inhabitants can call Helpline No. 1929 for any requirements/ complaints.
