The series is based on ‘Jamtara’, a small village in Jharkhand. It unfolds how some ignorant youth turn this nondescript village into India’s phishing capital with their distinctive ways to con people by posing as bank representatives.

The entire web series was shot in 20 months in Jharkhand. It features Dibyendu Bhattacharya, Amit Sial, and Monika Panwar in the lead roles.

Talking about the relevance of the film, Padhi said that the literacy level of Jamtara village is very low and that is the reason why people there indulge in crime from a very young age.

It is pertinent to mention that the filmmaker spent quite some time in the village to have a better understanding of the place and its people, before starting the shoot.
