This Odisha district asks people to refrain from visiting govt offices

Jagatsinghpur: At a time when there has been a spurt in COVID-19 cases, the Jagatsinghpur district administration asked people not to visit government offices till July 31.

In an order, the district administration said citizens must not visit the government office in the larger health interests of people. Someone can get emergency services online. Also anyone can access the different departments through social media and lodge complaints in drop box at the offices.

The district administration also imposed ban on people visiting from hotspot areas. Without any pass, no one can enter the hotspot areas. Moreover, government employees from other districts cannot enter Jagatsinghpur district.

However, essential and healthcare services have been kept out of the restrictions. As per the order, a Tahsildar can only issue an emergency pass when the restriction order is in place.

So far, a total of 412 persons in Jagatsinghpur district tested positive for COVID-19.
