Happiness knew no bounds when this tribal girl got a tablet computer from Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik here today for her academic success.
Moneka Mankedia – the first tribal girl from her community to pass matriculation exam – was felicitated by Chief Minister at state secretariat here.
During interaction with Chief Minister, Moneka expressed her desire to pursue technical studies at ITI, Bhubaneswar.

Patnaik advised her to continue with her education and work hard to fulfil ambitions.
Notably, Moneka passed the HSC examination this year from Shramashakti High School in Jajpur district.
The headmaster of the school Khetrabasi Barik, who accompanied the tribal girl to the secretariat, was also gifted a mobile phone to him for his contribution.
Despite all odds, the teenage girl passed the examination this year with good scores.
