This Union Minister’s ‘missing’ posters put up in different places in Odisha

Balasore: In a time people of Odisha are fighting against novel coronavirus (COVID-19) and struggling hard amid lockdown, a bizarre incident has come to fore in the State where missing posters of a union minister elected from Balasore Parliamentary Constituency were found in various places in the district.

The posters of Union Animal Husbandry, Dairying and Fisheries and Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Minister Pratap Sarangi were put up on walls on many streets in Balasore town today.

In one of the posters, it has been written: “Our MP is missing. Please help us to find him – Balasore people.”

At another place, a missing poster was found hung on the wall with a public appeal: “He has not been seen in Balasore since long. Help us to find him.”

Reacting to incident, Sarangi admitted that he was not present in his parliamentary constituency during the period of lockdown. However, he is monitoring everything there far off the place.

“Though I am not physically present in Balasore town, my team is working the best to bring back migrant workers from other states during lockdown. In this regard. I am in constant touch with the district administration,” said Sarangi.

However, he denied to make any statement over people who have allegedly put up his missing posters in the town.

“I have nothing to say to whoever has done this,” he added.
