Bhubaneswar: As Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi today started hearing public grievances, thousands of citizens gathered at the Chief Minister’s Grievance Cell in Unit-V here.

While registration for grievances was done from 9 am to 12 noon, the hearing began at 11 am. Over 1500 citizens registered for the grievance hearing.

The CM met the citizens and listened to their grievances in the presence of Deputy Chief Minister KV Singh Deo and other ministers.

Previously, CM Majhi was meeting people and addressing their grievances at the State Guest House in Bhubaneswar.

Worth mentioning, grievance hearing by Chief Minister resumed after 16 years as it was discontinued in 2008.

On the other hand, the Bhubaneswar Development Authority (BDA) also resumed hearing grievances from today. The hearing will be done every Monday (except government holidays) between 11 am and 1.30 pm. It was stopped from March 16 due to the Model Code of Conduct (MCC) imposed by the Election Commission of India for Assembly and Lok Sabha polls in Odisha.

People can file their complaints and grievances during the public hearing conducted in the BDA office.
