A three-day door-to-door survey for vaccination drive against Japanese Encephalitis (JE) started in Odisha's Malkangiri district today.

As many as 890 teams have been engaged to undertake the survey on November 20, 21, & 22 for identifying children in the 1-15 age group who will be vaccinated, sources said.

The vaccination programme will start from the first week of December.

Notably, a decision to undertake vaccination drive against the killer vector-borne disease was taken at a review meeting chaired by the district Collector here on November 13.
