3 killed, 10 injured as school bus falls into gorge in Odisha    

Nabarangpur: At least three teachers were killed and 10 others sustained critical injuries after a school bus skidded off Chandahandi Ghati in Nabarangpur district today.

The deceased trio, including a retired teacher, have been identified as Lalit Mohan Patnaik, Rina Nayak and Niranjan Nayak.

Sources said the school bus carrying around 35 students and teachers of Sri Aurobindo Integral Education Centre was going to the school in Chandahandi for a district-level seminar at around 11 AM today. However, the bus driver lost control over the vehicle, following which it skidded off and fell around 15 feet off the Ghati.

On receiving information, Jharigaon fire brigade officials reached the spot and recovered the bodies. Meanwhile, the injured have been admitted to Jharigaon hospital for treatment.
