Baripada, July 1:

Three persons including a woman were killed and six others injured in a road accident near Bankeswar on National Highway-18 in Odisha’s Mayurbhanj district today, police sources said.

Police said a SUV carrying nine persons was hit head-on by a Keonjhar bound oil tanker, killing three persons on the spot while injuring six others.

The injured have been shifted to the district headquarters hospital here.

A case has been registered and the vehicle seized, the sources added.
