Three members of family attacked over past enmity in Odisha; 1 killed, 2 critical

Cuttack: On the auspicious occasion of Holi festival, three members of a family were attacked allegedly over past enmity at Mundiasahi under Tigiria police limits in Cuttack district.

While one person died, his wife and daughter others were admitted to the SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack in critical condition.

The deceased person has been identified as Chintamani Behera.

According to reports, a group of people attacked Chintamani and his family members — wife and daughter — with a fatal weapon over some past enmity killing him at his residence. The two injured members lying in a pool of blood were rushed to Athagarh Sub-Divisional Hospital for treatment. After their condition deteriorated, they were referred to the SCB hospital.

Tigiria police reached the spot and detained two women for interrogation in the case.
