Cuttack: Out of 13 new COVID-19 cases reported in Cuttack district in last 24 hours, 3 positive cases belong to areas under Cuttack Municipality Corporation (CMC), informed CMC today.

Of 3 new cases, one positive case has been detected from paid quarantine centre, one home quarantine and another one is a local contact.

Paid Quarantine Case:

62-year-old male with recent travel history to COVID-hit state West Bengal

Home Quarantine Case:

59-year-old male from Manik Ghosh Bazaar, contact of a previous known positive case

Local case:

58-year-old male COVID warrior from a private nursing home

With 3 fresh cases, the tally in Cuttack city rose to 193, of which 169 are active and 22 patients have recovered from COVID-19. The virus has claimed 2 lives in the city so far.

Following detection of positive cases, active surveillance, contact tracing, and sanitization of the concerned areas are underway, the CMC said.
