Three more swine flu patients identified in Odisha

The number of swine flu patients has gone up to 43 in Odisha with three more patients detected with the dreaded H1N1 virus on Monday.

swine flu virusAccording to Shantanu Kar, director of Regional Medical Research Centre (RMRC), of the three patients who have tested H1N1 positive, two are male and one is a female. All three of them undergoing treatment at nursing homes in the state capital.

He said of the six swabs examined here on Monday, three have been found H1N1 positive. Out of the 213 swab tests conducted here so far, 43 have been found positive, Kar added.

Till date, seven patients have died of swine flu in the state.
