Three newborns found dead in pond in Odisha’s Dhenkanal

Dhenkanal: As many as three newborns were found dead in a pond in Indipur village under Sadar police limits in Odisha’s Dhenkanal district, today.

According to reports, villagers spotted the three bodies floating in the pond this morning and informed the local police about it.

Cops have recovered the bodies and seized some pieces of clothes lying near the spot.

Investigation by police was underway to ascertain the parents of the babies and the circumstances under which the newborns died.

Locals have expressed concern over the matter saying that such an incident has occurred for the first time in the area.
