Three persons killed, seven injured in road accidents in Odisha

Three persons have been killed and as many as seven persons have been injured in two different road accidents last night in Odisha.

According to reports, three youths of Khanda village under Umerkote block in Nabarangpur district were returning back home from a local fair on a bike late at night yesterday.

Unfortunately, the bike rider lost control on wheels and hit a roadside tree.

While two youths died on the spot, another person was rushed to a hospital in critical condition. Later, he was shifted to Vishakhapatnam for better treatment as his health condition deteriorated.

In another incident, an Auto-rickshaw carrying devotees to Ramanavami celebrations turned turtle in Padmagiri area of Malkangiri district after the driver lost control on wheels.

While one occupant of the ill-fated vehicle died on spot, another six injured have been admitted to Malkangiri District Headquarters Hospital.

The driver of the auto-rickshaw fled the spot after the accident.
