Three snatchers held in Odisha Capital; gold chains, motorcycles seized

Bhubaneswar: The Commissionerate Police arrested three persons for allegedly snatching valuables from pedestrians and people riding two wheelers in Bhubaneswar. The accused are Sudarshan Naik, a resident of Kalimandir Sadak Basti; Bulu Naik, a resident of Kalpana Apartment and Sarbeswara Gochhayat, a resident of Tarini Basti.

Also, the police arrested Lochana Behera from Badagada Nuasahi and Sushant Kumar Moharana, a resident of Bharatpur Telugu Basti on charges of purchasing stolen goods.

A total eight gold chains weighing 65 grams and two motorcycles were seized from the possession of the three looters.

A police official said the three looters were involved in several snatching and loot cases in past four years.

Following their arrest, the accused were forwarded to the court.
