Thundershower, heavy rainfall likely in these Odisha districts during next 5 days

Bhubaneswar: The thundershower and heavy rainfall may occur in several districts of Odisha during next five days, predicted the Regional Meteorological Centre, Bhubaneswar.

As the Southwest Monsoon is active across Odisha, many places are likely to experience light to moderate rain or thundershower from today till June 23 morning.

As per Bhubaneswar MeT prediction, heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places in some districts of north and interior parts of the State during next 24 hours.

The weather in Bhubaneswar and neighbourhood will be cloudy with one or two spells of rain or thundershower during next 24 hours.

The weathermen have also issued yellow warning for several districts for four days starting today, June 21, 22 and 23.

Forecast: Light to moderate rain or thundershower very likely to occur at many places over the districts of North Odisha and at a few places over the districts of South Odisha.

Yellow warning: Heavy rainfall very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Angul, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Dhenkanal, Bargarh and Balasore.

Day 2 (valid from 0830 hrs IST of June 19 upto 0830 hrs IST of June 20).

Forecast: Light to moderate rain or thundershower very likely to occur at many places over the districts of North Interior Odisha and at a few places over the rest districts of Odisha

Day 3 (valid from 0830 hrs IST of June 20 upto 0830 hrs IST of June 21).

Forecast: Light to moderate rain or thundershower very likely to occur at a few places over the districts of North Odisha and at one or two places over the districts of South Odisha.

Day 4 (valid from 0830 hrs IST of June 21 upto 0830 hrs IST of June 22).

Forecast: Light to moderate rain or thundershower very likely to occur at many places over the districts of Interior Odisha and at a few places over the districts of Coastal Odisha.

Yellow warning: 1. Heavy rainfall very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Keonjhar and Mayurbhanj.

2. Thunderstorm with lightning very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Bargarh, Balangir, Sonepur, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Boudh, Angul, Dhenkanal, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Nuapada and Balasore.

Day 5 (valid from 0830 hrs IST of June 22 upto 0830 hrs IST of June 23).

Forecast: Light to moderate rain or thundershower very likely to at many places over the districts of Odisha.

Yellow warning: 1. Heavy rainfall very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Koraput, Malkangiri, Nabarangpur, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara Jagatsinghpur and Cuttack.

2. Thunderstorm with lightning very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Angul, Dhenkanal, Boudh, Kandhamal, Rayagada, Koraput, Malkangiri and Nabarangpur.
