Thunderstorm alert issued for 8 Odisha districts today

Bhubaneswar: The Regional Meteorological Centre here issued thunderstorm and lightning alert for 10 districts across the State till 10:30 PM today.

As per the weathermen, thunderstorm accompanied with lightning and moderate rainfall will occur at one or two places in Sundargarh, Sambalpur, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khorda, Nayagarh districts till 10:30 PM today

Meanwhile, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicted that rain will occur at several places across the State till August 28 under the impact of a low pressure likely to be formed over coastal areas of West Bengal and north Odisha.
