Thunderstorm, hail forecast in 5 Odisha districts

Bhubaneswar: Thunderstorm accompanied with hail and gusty wind is likely to occur in five districts of Odisha between 4 pm and 8 pm.

The districts likely to be affected are Khurda, Cuttack, Puri, Jagatsinghpur and Kendrapara.

“Latest doppler weather radar and satellite imageries indicate that thunderstorm accompanied with hail and gusty surface wind speed reaching 50 to 60 kmph likely to occur over the districts of Khurda, Cuttack, Puri, Jagatsinghpur and Kendrapara between 1600 hrs IST and 2000 hrs IST,” said a bulletin issued by the local meteorological centre here.
