Thunderstorm, hailstorm likely in these Odisha districts today

Bhubaneswar: Several districts of Odisha are likely to experience thunderstorm and hailstorm today, the Regional Meteorological Centre here forecasted.

Thunderstorm with lightning and gusty surface wind speed reaching 40-50 kmph and hailstorm very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Keonjhar, Jajpur, Angul, Dhenkanal, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Nayagarh, Khurda and Puri. Also, heavy rainfall likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Dhenkanal, Cuttack and Jajpur, the Meteorological Centre predicted and issued Orange Warning for these districts.

Thunderstorm with lightning and gusty surface wind speed reaching 40-50 kmph very likely to occur at one or two places over the rest districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Kendrapara, Ganjam, Gajapati, Mayurbhanj, Sundargarh, Deogarh, Boudh, Kandhamal, Koraput, Malkangiri, Rayagada and thunderstorm with lightning very likely to occur at one or two places over the rest districts of Odisha, the Meteorological Centre added and issued Yellow Warning for these districts.
