Thunderstorm, lightning alert for 11 Odisha districts

Bhubaneswar: Regional Meteorological Centre issued thunderstorm and lightning alert for eleven districts in Odisha here today.

The thuderstorm accompanied with lightning, gusty surface wind and rain is likely to occur over the districts of Cuttack, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Puri, Ganjam, Gajapati, Koraput and Nayagarh between 2.00 pm and 6.00 pm, the Bhubaneswar MeT said in a release.

Meanwhile, the heavy rainfall in several districts and thunderstorm rain in the past few days brought huge relief for people of Odisha from the heat.
