Thunderstorm, lightning alert for 5 Odisha districts today

Bhubaneswar: Thunderstorm accompanied with lightning and rain will lash several places in five districts of the State today.

As per a latest bulletin issued by the regional Met centre, thunderstorm along with lightning and light rainfall is likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Rayagada, Koraput, Gajapati, Ganjam and Kandhamal till 6 pm today.

Meanwhile, heat wave conditions continued to sweep many parts of the State today. Yesterday, the highest temperature of 40.8 degree was recorded in Sonepur while Sambalpur recorded the lowest temperature of 19.4 degree Celsius.
